Bamby microcars were designed by Alan Evans and built in Hull in the early 1980’s by Bamby Cars Ltd. Based on a Peel P50, the car had a fibreglass body, three wheels and was powered initially by a 49cc engine. There was no reverse gear. 100 mpg was claimed for the Bamby, with approximately 50 being constructed of the Mk 1 and Mk 2 between 1983 and 1984.
