The Bugatti name was revived in 1991 by Romano Artioli in Modena. The EB 110 was named after Ettore Bugatti and launched on the 110th Anniversary of his birth. His factory closed in 1995 and in 1998 the Bugatti name was bought by the Volkswagen Group. The Veyron is named after Pierre Veyron and the Chiron after Louis Chiron, both of whom were famous French racing drivers.
