Commer was a manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the UK from 1905 until 1979. The company produced trucks, buses, military vehicles, vans, minibuses and camper vans. In 1926, the firm was bought by Humber and in 1931 became part of the Rootes Group. When Chrysler Europe took over Rootes in the 1970’s, the Commer name was replaced by Dodge.
