German engineer Karl Schlör built the Schlörwagen in 1939 to demonstrate how an aerodynamic bodystyle could make a car much more fuel efficient.  The vehicle was constructed on the chassis of a Mercedes-Benz 170H.  Only one prototype was ever produced.
