Louis Delage founded his company in 1905.  Apart from racing successes – a Delage won the 1914 Indianapolis 500 – his firm developed a reputation for stylish cars, particularly in the 1920’s and 1930’s.  Many famous coachbuilders supplied bodies for Delages.  In 1935, Automobiles Delage was acquired by Delahaye.
