Ford South Africa

Ford South Africa was based in Port Elizabeth and began in 1923 assembling right-hand drive Model T’s imported from Canada.  Fast forward to 1985 and Ford merged with Sigma to form Samcor (South African Motor Corporation).  In 1998 Ford bought out Samcor, the company being renamed as Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa.
