
FSO stands for Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych, which means “Passenger Automobile Factory”. Based in Warsaw production began in 1951 of the Warszawa M20, based on a GAZ. In 1965 Polski-FIATs were introduced, the last Polski-FIAT 125P being manufactured in 1991. In 1995 the company was sold to Daewoo Motors, the last cars being built in 2011.
