Together with his brother Maxime, Georges Richard began building cars in 1897 in a suburb of Paris.  In 1901, Charles-Henri Brasier joined them as a partner and two years later cars were built carrying the Richard-Brasier name.  In 1905, Georges Richard left the company to found Unic.
