The Gordon Keeble was the result of a partnership between John Gordon and Jim Keeble. The body was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and the car was powered by a Chevrolet V-8 engine. Approximately 99 cars were made between 1964 and 1967. The tortoise on the car badge comes from a test drive, when a tortoise in the road ahead was rescued and put on the bonnet of the car, where it promptly left a “message”. This was interpreted as a sign of good luck and was therefore used on the company badge! Thanks to David Yeomans for this anecdote.
