Based in Seoul, shipbuilding and civil engineering company Hyundai began to manufacture cars in 1967 in cooperation with Ford.  The first Korean car was the Pony which was introduced in 1975.  Steady growth has occurred through the decades and Hyundai now has subsidiary companies worldwide.  Their vehicles are sold in over 190 countries.
