Founded in 1907 as the International Harvester Co. the company concentrated on tractor and truck production until 1956 when the Travelall was introduced.  The Scout model was first built in 1961 selling over 100,000 by 1964.  However, later financial difficulties for the company meant that the last Scout was built in 1980.
