Isuzu Motors Ltd. began by building vehicles under licence, including the Hillman Minx in 1953.  After short-lived mergers with other Japanese companies, they linked with General Motors to produce a range of cars.  Isuzu now has joint manufacturing facilities in many countries and concentrates on building SUV’s, trucks and buses.
