Henry J. Kaiser (1882-1967) did not begin his car company until 1946 when he was 64 years old.  His vehicles sold well at first, becoming the eighth largest car manufacturer in the USA by the end of the 40’s.  In 1953, Kaiser merged with Willys-Overland, with the last cars badged as Kaiser being built in 1955.
