Swedish firm Koenigsegg was founded in 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg and Michael Bergfelt with the aim of producing a world-class sports car.  Their first car appeared on the road in 2002 and with their own company’s engine in 2006.  Most of their other components are also manufactured in-house.
