French company La Licorne (the unicorn) existed from 1901 to 1950.  Never a major manufacturer, their cars were nevertheless popular in France and a variety of different vehicles were made, one of their cars winning the Monte Carlo Rally in 1930.  In December 1949 their factory was sold to Renault.
