
Industrialist Ferruccio Lamborghini’s companies manufactured tractors, etc. before his first car was built in 1963. In 1966 the Miura appeared, regarded as the world’s first “supercar”. Based at Sant’Agata Bolognese, a succession of very fast cars were built often named after Spanish fighting bulls. Ferruccio Lamborghini died in 1993 and today the company is owned by the Volkswagen Group.
