Based in Le Mans the Bollée family were bell founders before Amédée Bollée began manufacturing steam carriages and then in 1895, his brother Léon built his first car.  Automobiles Léon Bollée produced a wide range of cars before the Depression in the 1930’s forced their closure in 1933.
