Ligier

Former racing-driver Guy Ligier built his first sports car in 1970.  The initials “JS” in the name are a tribute to his friend Jo Schlesser who died in a race in 1968.  His company made microcars and also ran an F1 team from 1976 to 1996.  (Photo above shows the 1974 Ligier JS2 that raced at Le Mans and the 1976 JS5 that raced at the Long Beach Grand Prix.)
