Aixam-Mega began making microcars in Aix-les-Baines in 1983.  In 1993 the company introduced the Mega Track, a 4-seat, 4-wheel drive off-road supercar.  A 6 litre Mercedes-Benz V12 engine was used and a top speed of 160 mph was claimed.
