Salmson

The Salmson is named after civil engineer Émile Salmson (1859-1917) who died before his company produced its first car in 1921 at Billancourt.  Cyclecars were built at first with publicity from racing successes in the 1920’s & 1930’s boosting sales of more conventional automobiles.  After WW II the company continued manufacture until 1957 when production ceased.
