When Peugeot acquired Chrysler’s operations in Europe in the late 1970’s, the Talbot name was revived in 1979.  Cars were built in France, Spain & the UK with the Sunbeam, Avenger, Horizon and Alpine models.  A Talbot won the 1981 Rally World Championship, but sales declined throughout the 1980’s and the Talbot name was discontinued in 1986.
