Japanese company Tommykaira is named after its two founders Yoshikazu Tomita and Kikuo Kaira.  Established as a tuning and manufacturing firm in 1986, many Nissan and Subaru models have been modified.  The ZZ model was built between 1996 and 2000, with production restarting in 2014.
