Vector was founded by American Gerald Wiegert with the aim of building an American supercar to rival Ferrari and Lamborghini.  The W8 model was introduced in 1991 with a price tag of $450,000.  When Gerald Wiegert left, the company’s new owners built the M12 which had a Lamborghini engine, but only a handful were ever produced.
